Call for Demonstrations

The ICIP 2017 organizing committee is soliciting proposals for demonstrations to be presented during the conference. The demonstrations can be related to any of the technical areas of ICIP, as defined in the call for papers. The demo sessions will take place concurrently with the regular technical sessions at ICIP and they will be co-located with the posters and commercial exhibitions in order to maximize visibility.

Authors are invited to submit a one-page abstract describing the technology being demonstrated, the equipment that will be used for the demonstration and the demonstration experience. Demo submissions can be accompanied with multimedia attachments of up to 10 MB (assume these will be submitted through CMS, need to confirm details). The abstract must clearly explain in what sense the proposed demonstration is innovative and how it will appeal to the ICIP audience. Demonstrations should have an interactive component, which goes beyond demonstrating “simple” simulated graphs on a computer. Commercial product demonstrations are considered more appropriate for ICIP exhibitions, and will not be considered for demo sessions.

Each demonstration will be provided with a skirted table, easel for a poster and an electrical power strip. All other equipment needs to be provided by the presenters. You will be responsible for any shipping costs, delivery to and from the conference as well as care of your equipment during the conference. You will also need to register at ICIP in order to present your demonstration.

The deadline for demo submission has been extended to May 31, 2017. As a result, notifications of acceptance will be given by June 15, 2017, and the camera-ready deadline for final one-page abstracts, which will be included in the USB drive of the conference, is June 30, 2017.

Submissions must be sent by email to: qi.tian@utsa.edu and qhdai@tsinghua.edu.cn
